Absolutes are highly concentrated and a little goes a long way, if you are intending to use absolutes on your skin - you should first dilute the absolute with a carrier oil (such as, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, apricot kernel oil). Keep in mind that absolutes are not the same as Fragrance oils. Where absolutes are derived from the true plants, perfume oils are artificially created fragrances or synthetic substances.
Absolutes are a solvent extract of aromatic material from botanicals, producing an alcohol-soluble liquid, semi-liquid or solid. Common solvents used for the extraction process are later removed.
