Carrier Oils
Carrier oils are also known as, Base oils or Vegetable oils. Base oils are vegetable, nut or seed oils, many of which in themselves have great therapeutic qualities.
Essential oils in their pure state are to concentrated to be used directly on the skin and you will therefore need to dilute them with a carrier oil, to "carry" the essential oil over your skin. Vegetable, Nut & Seed oils can also be incorporated into bodycare products and soaps.
Safflower Oil
Carthamus tinctorius
Safflower Oil has moisturizing
qualities. It is often used in soaps and cosmetics. It is good
for all skin types and is rich in minerals, proteins and
vitamins.
Safflower Oil can be used at 100% or blended with another carrier oil.
